Is it that much more than other local equivalents? I think the "artisinal" ice cream these days just doesn't come cheap. Sebastian Joe's is expensive, too.

It's a special treat for us. Probably not such a bad thing, as I really don't need ice cream as part of my daily diet! It's pretty expensive to do anything in small batches with milk. Milk prices have been at their highest ever for the past few years. That said, these places have a pretty high markup, but they have to in order to stay in business. What are we comparing it to? I mean, it's not exactly cheap, but I've never been mindblown by the expense. Plus Izzy's is delicious.

So, so delicious. Izzy's is really good and definitely expensive, but I don't get ice cream more than once or twice a year, so it's not a big deal. Originally Posted by xandrex.
