They mention that there are paintbrushes that are hidden each morning in obvious places. So best bet is to make sure you are the first to get to the Island which you did and just keep looking for them.

It may of been that some one or some family found the paintbrushes before you did. My 2 DDs both are determined to go straight for TSI on our upcoming trip because they too want to look for them. If you were one of the lucky guests to find a paintbrush, then you would receive a prize! The price was usually a FastPass that would get you on any attraction typically good for 3 people, too.

That would be a pretty good prize to get! We wish they still did this each morning, as it would be a lot of fun to go hunting for the paintbrushes. Even the rafts have names after popular characters from the book.
